| `jack-nicklaus-masters-1986.jpg` | — | — | — | Source re-verification pending: the downloaded file shows a blonde-haired golfer in red trousers and a red/white striped shirt putting, with international flags visible behind the green (possibly a Ryder Cup, World Cup of Golf, or similar team event). Plausibly Jack Nicklaus from the 1970s-80s given build and hair, but not confirmed as the 1986 Masters itself (Nicklaus wore a yellow shirt in that final round), and the exact Commons source could not be pinned down in a reasonable search. |

| `miracle-at-medinah-2012.jpg` | — | — | — | Substitution: the downloaded file shows the European Ryder Cup team celebrating with the trophy, including a visibly identifiable Rory McIlroy, but the hilly/mountainous background does not match the flat terrain of Medinah Country Club, Illinois; it more closely resembles a European venue (e.g. Gleneagles, host of the 2014 Ryder Cup, also won by Europe). Genuine European Ryder Cup celebration photo, but likely not the actual 2012 Medinah event; exact Commons source not re-confirmed in a reasonable search. |

## Substitution & sourcing honesty notes (130-moment expansion)

This 13-sport, 130-moment expansion was built by AI agents working through
Wikimedia Commons at scale. Where a genuinely free photo of the *exact*
historic instant existed, it was used. Where it didn't (the large majority —
professional sports photography of specific plays, fights, and finals is
almost always still under copyright), an honestly-labelled substitute was
used instead: the same athlete/team at a different, freely-photographed
moment, or a generic-but-real photo of the relevant venue. Every such
substitution is noted in the row itself, never silently mislabeled.

A meaningful minority of rows (see "Note" column, marked "source
re-verification pending" or "probable match") have their content verified by
direct visual inspection but could not have their original Wikimedia Commons
file page re-located with full confidence in the time available. These are
very likely genuine, appropriately-licensed Commons downloads (that's where
every image in this batch was sourced from), just without a re-confirmed
paper trail back to the exact file page. Flagged honestly rather than
guessed at or hidden.

One genuine content-mismatch was caught and fixed during final review:
`payne-stewart-us-open-1999.jpg` originally contained an unrelated military
pilot photo (downloaded in error) and has been replaced with a verified,
correctly-licensed photo of a Payne Stewart memorial statue.

If any "pending" row's licensing needs firming up before wider promotion or
commercial use, re-search Wikimedia Commons for that specific file's likely
source (the note describes exactly what to look for) or replace the image.
